The quality of practical training is the primary objective of any educational institution and directly depends on interactions with social partners. The need for social partnership in education stems from the continuous growth of social and cultural diversity in modern society. In today's socioeconomic conditions, vocational educational institutions can only fulfill their primary mission—training highly qualified personnel in fields in demand in the labor market—by working closely with employers, the direct consumers of educational services.
Vocational training in all fields is conducted in the college's laboratories and training workshops and is an important stage of student preparation, aimed at developing practical skills in their chosen specialty. Training is conducted in conditions as close as possible to a real production environment, using specialized equipment, software, and teaching materials. This allows students to consolidate the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom and gain experience using specialized equipment, tools, and technologies that meet the requirements of the modern industry.
The content of vocational training depends on the program's area of study. For students majoring in creative fields (02110400 - Publishing, 02110100 - Cinematography), they will work with video cameras and photo equipment, learn how to use graphic editors, edit and process media content, and complete educational filming and design projects. For students majoring in technology (02110500 - Printing and Packaging Technology, 07151000 - Equipment Operation, Maintenance, and Repair), they will perform operations on specialized equipment, adjust printing or packaging parameters, and control product quality. For students majoring in 04140100 - Marketing (by industry), they will conduct marketing research, study the principles of working with product ranges, and analyze the market environment and target audience. Classes are held in specialized laboratories and workshops at the college under the guidance of teachers of specialized disciplines and industrial training instructors. The training includes practical assignments, participation in educational and industrial projects, and completion of tests.
Upon completion of vocational training, students acquire practical skills that can be used during on-the-job training and in their future professional activities. The timing of on-the-job training and on-the-job training is determined by the academic schedule.
On-the-job training for future specialists is an effective means of updating students' theoretical knowledge, developing their professional skills and abilities, and developing their professional and pedagogical qualities and creative abilities. During the 2024-2025 academic year, the goal and objectives of on-the-job training for college students were realized. On-the-job training is organized in accordance with all regulatory documents and local regulations governing all types of on-the-job training in all specialties. The goal is to comprehensively develop students' understanding of all types of professional activity within the specialties of vocational and technical education. It promotes the development of general and professional competencies that form the basis of professional mastery, as well as the acquisition of necessary skills and practical experience in their specialty.
The objectives of the internship program are:
1. To create a practice-oriented environment in the college to enable students to acquire practical skills in their chosen specialty;
2. To ensure continuity, comprehensiveness, and consistency in students' mastery of professional activities in accordance with internship programs that provide a logical connection and combination of theoretical and practical training, ensuring continuity across all stages of internship;
3. To develop and implement activities aimed at assessing and monitoring students' practical activities in their chosen specialty;
4. To publish educational and methodological materials on the topics of college students' internship;
5. To develop motivation for acquiring their chosen specialty, professional self-determination, professional culture, and professional adaptation.
Students' admission to internships and the appointment of internship supervisors are formalized by orders and decisions of the pedagogical council. Preparatory conferences and briefings were held before each internship, which are reflected in the briefing log for each group and each semester.
During vocational training and practical training, students develop professional competencies in line with the requirements of the international WorldSkills movement. This helps students develop modern skills that meet global quality standards and enhance graduates' competitiveness in the labor market. Work is conducted on competencies relevant to their respective fields of study and is aimed at mastering modern technologies, tools, and methods used in WorldSkills professional skills competitions. WorldSkills standards reflect the actual requirements of employers for the quality of training and cover key aspects of professional activity in various industries. The goal of integrating WorldSkills standards into the educational process is to improve the quality of specialist training, develop practical skills that are as close as possible to employer requirements, prepare students for participation in demonstration exams and championships, and foster a culture of professional excellence, precision, responsibility, and efficiency.
WorldSkills principles are actively applied in the college's educational process across the following competencies:

Teachers and vocational training instructors have been trained according to WorldSkills standards and are regional experts. Students' assignments are aligned with WorldSkills modules and assessment criteria. Training takes place in specialized laboratories and workshops equipped with equipment similar to that used at competitions. Students work with modern software, tools, and technologies. During classes, the emphasis is on practicing key professional competencies: precision, deadlines, safety, and quality control. These skills contribute to successful completion of the demonstration exam and adaptation to the workplace.
As a result, students acquire practical skills that meet international standards. This increases students' motivation for professional development and participation in competitions. A portfolio of completed assignments, according to WorldSkills standards, is compiled and can be presented to employers.
The college's educational program requires students to complete professional internships. The objective of this activity is quite clear: to consolidate theoretical knowledge and develop skills for its practical application. When properly organized and implemented, college students' internships significantly increase the specialist's demand in the labor market.
Goals and Objectives:
The main goal of college students' internships is to learn to apply the theoretical knowledge they acquired during their studies in practice. Without this skill, the effectiveness of professional training, as well as the specialist's demand in the labor market, are significantly reduced. By taking the internship seriously, students can successfully achieve three key objectives:
1. Reinforce, generalize, and test theoretical knowledge in the workplace.
2. Acquire the skills and abilities essential for future professional work.
3. Experientially familiarize themselves with and study the working conditions at a specific enterprise, organization, or institution.
Types and Timeframes:
Educational Internship. The key objective of the internship, as its name suggests, is to learn the skills necessary for future professional work. The most common format is group classes under the guidance of a vocational training instructor. The duration is one and a half to two weeks.
Professional Internship. The college students' internship takes place at their base enterprise. Its duration varies from two weeks to a month. The main objectives are:
Learning the principles of organizing the production process at the enterprise;
Gaining an understanding of the organization's structure, company management rules, and other important aspects of business operations;
Participating in the company's operations in accordance with the student's specialization.
Industrial training takes place under the guidance of a mentor assigned to an individual student or group of students. A report is compiled at the end of the training.
Pre-Graduation Internship. The main objective of the pre-graduation internship is to collect the data necessary for writing and defending a thesis. Essentially, it combines elements of both academic and industrial internships, as students simultaneously observe and participate in the organization's work. Pre-graduation internship is rightly considered one of the key stages in preparation for a thesis defense. It lasts six months and involves students working at a base company, combining work with their studies.
